Jawa Bike Price in Nepal

JAWA is a motorcycle and moped manufacturer founded in Prague, Czechoslovakia in 1929 by František Janeček, who bought the motorcycle division of Wanderer.

The name JAWA was established by concatenating the first letters of Janeček and Wanderer. In the past, especially in the 1950s, JAWA was one of the top motorcycle manufacturers and exported its 350 to over 120 countries. The best known model was the 350 Pérák and in the 1970s the 350 Californian. It appeared in the typical black and red coloring from Californian beaches to New Zealand. After 1990, there was a significant loss of production. A successor company was formed in 1997 in Týnec nad Sázavou, continuing the name as JAWA Moto.

Jawa motorcycles got a resurrection in India in December 2018, by Classic Legends which is owned by Mahindra, through a licensing deal with the JAWA Moto.

Jawa Classic

Classic Legends takes you on a retro nostalgic trip with its latest models and this Jawa(Classic) is the more authentic offering.

The design of the Jawa is quintessential 1960s Jawa and there’s no mistaking the design pedigree. The Jawa is powered by a 293 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine which puts out 28 bhp of power at 6500 rpm and 27 Nm of peak torque at 5000 rpm. Actual top speed is around 130 kmph, but the Jawa is meant for relaxed cruising rather than outright acceleration.

The ride quality is taut and handling is excellent, particularly over bad roads, and the 165 mm ground clearance with the standard engine bash plate makes it easy to tackle tough terrain.

With front disc and rear drum brakes, Jawa Standard comes up with anti-locking braking system. The Jawa tips the scales with 170 kg kerb weight.

Instrumentation consists of a single integrated analog unit that shows speed and fuel, besides an odometer. As befits a neo-retro motorcycle, there is a lot of chrome and the flowing lines are reminiscent of the original Ideal Jawa that was sold in India. Grey, black and maroon are the three colours it is available in.

The Jawa Classic competes with the Royal Enfield Classic 350 series and the Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350.

It is available in 2 variants and 3 colors – Maroon, Grey and Black with top variant price starting from Rs. 6,48,500.

Jawa Forty-Two

The BS6-compliant Jawa Forty-Two cruiser bike is powered by the 293cc, fuel-injected, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine which generates 27.51PS and 27.05Nm — 0.86PS and 0.95Nm less than the BS4-compliant version. The engine continues with the same 6-speed transmission as before.

With front disc and rear drum brakes, Jawa Forty-Two comes up with anti-locking braking system. This bike weighs 172 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 14 liters.

The Jawa Forty Two is the entry-level model to the Jawa brand. It shares its mechanicals with the Jawa Classic, but has a few cosmetic differences – it is the more modern-looking of the two.
