Taro brand motorcycles and scooters have entered the Nepali market. Om Motocorp Pvt. Ltd. under SG Group has introduced Taro brand in Nepal by setting up a corporate showroom in Narayanchaur Naxal.
Taro is a Chinese premium brand of Italian technology. Taro is also a two-wheeler brand established in the European market. Scooters are available at two models, including the Imola 150 and the Alex T-9 150. The Imola scooter features large tyres which the rider to ride well even on unpaved roads. The company says that Alex T9 will be comfortable while driving on the highway and long.
Taro’s bikes are available in 3 models including GP 200, GP One 250 R and GP One 380. The 250 cc and 380 cc motorcycles have EFI and ABS systems. The company believes that Taro’s motorcycles will be popular in the Nepali market for reliability, uniformity and comfort. This motorcycle can run at a speed of 160 kilometers per hour.
Dashboard TFT, double disc brake with ABS, 6 speed gear and other features are available in Tarot motorcycle. The GP 1 380cc is equipped with a total liquid twin cylinder. The 250 and 200 have a total liquid single cylinder. “Riding a premium motorcycle scooter made in Italy with design and technology will give you a different kind of stylish experience,” the company said.
The company has stated that test drive and booking of motorcycles can be done in Naxal showroom. The company plans to expand dealers in major cities of the country including Kathmandu as soon as it enters the Nepali market. The price of Taro motorcycles and scooters in Nepal ranges from Rs 330,000 to Rs 950,000.
Under SG Group, SLR Techno has been selling and distributing Motorhead motorcycles in the Nepali market.
TARO GP2 200
The GP2 200 is one of the various models of Taro brand bikes currently available in the Nepali market. This very attractive looking sports bike has been made available in the Nepali market by Om MotoCorp under SG Group.
The Italian brand Taro produced in China is a reputed brand sold in different countries around the world. This brand and its various models have now been added as another competitor in the Nepali market.
