Morang Auto Works, the authorised distributor of Škoda in Nepal, has just rolled out the Škoda Kodiaq Laurin & Klement sports utility vehicle.
The Skoda Kodiaq L&K complements the outstanding qualities of the large SUV in terms of versatility and space with an elegantly stylish touch.
The newly launched vehicle has a 2.0 TDI diesel engine generating 110 kW (150 PS) of power and 340 Nm of torque, the company said in a press statement. The all-wheel-drive system with electronic control delivers a big increase in traction, stability and safety.The all-wheel-drive variants of the ŠKODA KODIAQ L&K also have Adaptive Chassis Control DCC (Dynamic Chassis Control) as an option.
It comes with 19-inch ‘Sirius’ alloy wheels, full LED headlights, a grille with vertical slats and chrome trim as standard. The front wheel arches feature badges with the words ‘Laurin & Klement’.
According to Morang Auto Works, the Laurin & Klement variant is designed and featured in a way which is a first for any segment in Nepal. The vehicle’s individualistic exterior design and plethora of distinctive features are an arresting sight, the company said. The fascia is dominated by a distinctive chrome grille and the appearance is characterised by LED headlights with illuminated ‘eyelashes’ and 18 (R) trinity alloy wheels.
The most luxurious version of the Kodiaq offers a 360-degree surround area view, with an array of four wide-angle cameras mounted on the front and the rear. The wing mirror cover displays the immediate area surrounding the car on the infotainment system.
The appearance of the interior is enhanced with a three-spoke multifunction leather steering wheel, optionally available in black or beige leather trim. A subtle ‘Laurin & Klement’ logo can be found on the seats as well as on the trim strips of the instrument panel, which features in black piano lacquer accents. The logo can also be seen on the home screen of the infotainment system.
Hands-free parking minimises the hassle of parking in tight spots by automatically selecting an appropriate parking place in a row of parallel or perpendicularly parked vehicles. The sports utility vehicle opens up new vistas with the virtual cockpit, a customisable digital instrument panel that offers a fresh perspective of all important driving data and navigation, said the press statement.
The ‘simply clever’ features available in the Kodiaq Laurin & Klement are further proof that Škoda always offers a little bit ‘more car’ for the budget which is a practical and convenient assistance in everyday life.
The power nap package of the Kodiaq Laurin & Klement enables rear passengers to sleep soundly on a long journey. It includes variable headrests on the outer seats for a comfortably supported head posture while sleeping and two blankets.
The standard equipment also includes an electrically adjustable driver’s seat including memory function, door sills, which bear the ‘KODIAQ’ model logo, aluminium pedals, textile floor mats, a rain sensor, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, ambient lighting and the CANTON sound system.
The Kodiaq Laurin & Klement also features a digital voice enhancement feature which transmits the driver’s and front passenger’s voice to the passengers in the rear via a microphone in the cockpit facilitating smooth interaction among the occupants. The Škoda Kodiaq Laurin & Klement is available in five colour options: lava blue, quartz grey, moon white, magic black and magnetic brown.
