Honor Play 6T Pro and Play 6T Launched with 90 Hz Displays and Mediatek Dimensity SoC

During a live event organised by Honor on Thursday, the Honor Play 6T and Honor Play 6T Pro were unveiled in China’s market.
Featuring 90Hz refresh rates, the latest Honor smartphones use TFT LCD panels. There are 5G-capable octa-core MediaTek Dimensity chipsets that power the two variants.
The Honor Play 6T has a triple-camera combination with a 13-megapixel primary sensor, while the Honor Play 6T Pro has a dual-camera setup with a 48-megapixel primary camera as the star.
Onboard storage on both phones may be expanded to 256GB and up to 8GB of RAM.
Specifications of Honor Play 6T
Android 11-based Magic UI 5.0 is installed on the Honor Play 6T’s dual-SIM (Nano) capabilities. TFT LCD display with 1,600×720 pixels resolution, 20:9 screen aspect ratio, and 90Hz refresh rate are found on the new Honor phone. TUV Rheinland has also approved the screen for minimal blue light. The MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC, Mali-G57 GPU, and up to 8GB of RAM power the Honor Play 6T.
On the optical front, the Honor Play 6T has a triple rear camera configuration, which includes a 13MP primary sensor (f/1.8 aperture) and two 2-megapixel depth sensors (f/2.4 and f/2.4), as well as an additional 2-megapixel macro sensor. Honor has equipped its 5-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture for taking selfies. There are a variety of capabilities on the back camera, such as portrait mode, night scene mode, super macro mode, panorama and HDR modes as well as a filter and the ability to capture a smile using the camera’s smile detection feature. A microSD card can be used to enhance the phone’s storage capacity to 256GB.
A 3.5 mm headphone jack, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, OTG, GLONASS and USB Type-C ports are all included in the Honor Play 6T’s connectivity options. Onboard sensors include an ambient light sensor, gravity sensor, compass, proximity light sensor, and accelerometer A fingerprint sensor is also located on the side of the device. Fast charging at a rate of 22.5 watts is supported by the phone’s 5,000mAh battery. In terms of dimensions and weight, it is 167.59 x 8.62 x 77.9mm.

Specifications of Honor Play 6T Pro
Dual-SIM (Nano) Honor Play 6T Pro runs Android 11 based on Magic UI 5.0, much like the vanilla model. On the screen, there’s a 6.7-inch TFT LCD (1,080×1,388 pixels). With an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 810 processor, Mali-G57 GPU, and 8GB of RAM, the phone is ready to take on the day.
Huawei’s Honor Play 6T Pro sports a 48-megapixel main camera with an f/1.8 aperture. With a 2MP depth sensor, the camera has an f/2.4 aperture. The phone sports an 8-megapixel camera with an f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video chats. AI photography, time-lapse photography, dual-view video, night scene mode, portrait mode, panoramic, voice-activated photography, and many more are supported by the rear-facing camera. 2D face recognition is possible with the selfie camera. As previously mentioned, the Honor Play 6T has a storage capacity of up to 256GB.
As far as connectivity goes, the Honor Play 6T Pro’s options include Bluetooth 5, Wi-Fi 802.11, GPS, GNSS (Global Positioning System), GLONASS, Beidou, OTG (On the Go), USB Type C and 3.5mm headphone jacks. In addition to a proximity light sensor, there is an ambient light sensor. A fingerprint scanner located on the side completes the package. The phone’s battery has a capacity of 4,000 mAh and is capable of 40W rapid charging. With the battery installed, the phone dimensions 163.4x 7.45x 74.7mm and weighs 175 grams.

Honor 6T and 6T Pro pricing, availability, and more
The Honor Play 6T 8GB +128GB storage model costs CNY 1,199 (approximately Rs. 23,120). The phone is also available in an 8GB + 256GB storage option, which costs CNY 1,399 (about Rs 26,980).
For comparison’s sake, the Honor Play 6T Pro’s 8GB + 256GB model costs CNY 1,599 (approximately Rs. 30,840). At the time of this writing, the 8GB + 128GB storage model’s price has not been mentioned on the company’s website.
Both the Honor Play 6T and Honor Play 6T Pro are available in a variety of colours, including Titanium Empty Silver, Magic Night Black, and Rose Gold.
The Honor Mall website in China is presently taking pre-orders for both Honor devices. It will be available for purchase at the end of the month.
