On Thursday, Xiaomi introduced the Redmi Note 12 5G, Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G, and the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G in India.
Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 12 series is the follow-up to last year’s Redmi Note 11 series, and it boasts AMOLED displays with up to 120Hz refresh rate and the MIUI 13 custom skin.
The Redmi Note 12 5G has a Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 SoC, making it the least expensive in the new series.
MediaTek’s flagship Dimensity 1080 SoC may be found in the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G and Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G.

The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G’s triple rear camera array is headed by a 200-megapixel Samsung HPX sensor, and it serves as the phone’s main selling point. In China, the Redmi Note 12 series made its debut last October.

The front-facing camera is a 13-megapixel shooter with an f/2.45 lens, perfect for selfies and video calls. Internal storage can expand to 128 GB.
Redmi Note 12 5G has a 5,000 mAh battery and supports 33W rapid charging (supported charger is in the box). The device is protected against dust and water to the extent that it has an IP53 rating. In addition, the phone weighs 188 grams and has dimensions of 165.88 by 76.21 by 7.98 mm.

Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G – Specs and Features
The SIM card, software, and screen resolution of the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G are identical to those of the standard Redmi Note 12 5G.
The smartphone has an octa-core System-on-Chip (SoC) by MediaTek called Dimensity 1080, as well as up to 12GB of RAM and a Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) by Mali.

The 6.67-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) AMOLED display on the Android 12- and MIUI 13-powered Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G supports 30–120 Hz refresh rates, 20:9 aspect ratios, touch sampling speeds of up to 240 Hz, and peak brightness levels of 900 nits.
Display features include 1920Hz PWM Dimming, HDR10+, DCI-P3 color gamut, and Dolby Vision compatibility. Corning Gorilla Glass 5 shields the display’s front face. There is also support for Widevine L1 on the phone.
The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ is powered by an octa-core 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC, and it supports as much as 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and a Mali-G68 MC4 GPU.
It has a square vapour chamber (VC) measuring 3000mm for efficient temperature control and an X-axis 0809 vibration motor for enhanced gaming experience.
The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G’s primary selling point is its excellent camera. It boasts a triple camera arrangement in the back, one of which being a 200-megapixel Samsung HPX sensor with an optically stabilized f/1.65 lens (OIS).
In addition to the main camera, the camera module features a 2-megapixel macro lens and an ultra-wide-angle camera with 8 megapixels, an f/2.2 lens, and a 120-degree field of view.
Xiaomi has included a 16-megapixel sensor and an f/2.45 lens in the front of the phone for use in taking selfies and making video calls.
It also has 256GB of internal memory. The fingerprint reader is located on the side of the smartphone for added security.
A 4,980mAh battery powers the new Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G smartphone, which can be quickly recharged using the included 120W charger.
The rapid charging technique can supposedly fully charge a device in as little as 19 minutes. There are Surge P1 chips included for power management.
The IP53 grade for water and dust protection means that the phone is also durable.
Two Hi-Res-compatible stereo speakers are included. It weighs 208.4 grams and has dimensions of 162.9 x 76.03 x 8.9 mm.
