Redmi K20 Pro : Unboxing and Quick Review

Redmi K20 Pro Unboxing

The Redmi K20 Series was launched earlier in Chinese market on May 28 and went on sale on June 2.

The device is awaiting its launch now in Indian and Nepali market and is expected to launch soon. Xiaomi has recently announced that the Redmi K20 series will be launched in July 17 in India.

The Redmi K20 Pro is the most hyped smartphones of this year because of its price tag and high end specification. It comes with a flagship Snapdragon 855 SoC and is touted by the company as the new Flagship Killer 2.0 device.

After riding on the wave of Poco F1 smartphone last year Xiaomi went on to create a more finished product for its consumers in the form of K20 Series smartphones.

The Redmi K20 Pro will surely put all other flagships in shadow this year as it’s specs stack well against other flagship devices launched this year and its low price tag no other companies can beat.

Everyone knows that Redmi is a very cost effective brand and its K20 Pro provides a good value for money with the Snapdragon 855 Soc, full-view display, pop-up selfie camera, triple rear camera, AMOLED display and in-display fingerprint scanner.

Recently, we managed to get our hands on the Redmi K20 Pro with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage with Carbon Fiber Black colored version. This is a Chinese variant and not a Global one which will be shortly launched in Indian market next week. The Chinese variant does not include Google Play Services and other apps from Google such as Play Store, Gmail, Youtube etc. But it can be easily installed by downloading Google Play Services app from Xiaomi support forum.

Box and Packaging

The Redmi K20 Pro comes in a different packaging than any other latest Xiaomi devices packaging. Xiaomi has gone with a very minimalist design on the Redmi K20 Pro box package design with black and light purple colors.

The box has a Redmi K20 Pro logo on the front as well on the sides and a unique small dragon logo on the back of the box.

Inside the box, the first thing you get is a small purple box with manuals and instructions with a sim ejector tool.

A hard plastic case is included in the box with matte finish in black color which looks very much premium.

And finally we have the smartphone itself and has a sticker on the display with highlighted specifications printed along with Xiaomi and Redmi logos on the top and bottom.

The texts are printed in Chinese as this is a China variant while the one that will be launched in India and Nepal will have all texts in English.

An 18 watt charger is included in the box pack along with a USB Type-C cable.

Redmi K20 Pro also supports a QuickCharge 4.0 charger. A 27 Watt fast charger is also available for purchase separately .

The glass back cover really feels premium and is nicely curved so there is no complain on the design this time if we compare it with last years Poco F1.

The Redmi K20 Pro uses a Samsung AMOLED screen with 6.39 inch with a screen ratio of 91.9 % and with Full HD + resolution.

The device supports dual nano sim cards with support for dual 4G which enables 4G connectivity on both SIM cards. However, there is no extra slot to expand the internal storage with the help of external micro-SD card.
