Today Xiaomi Nepal has launched its much anticipated another batch of smartphones from it’s sub-brand Redmi in the Nepali market. The Chinese company officially launched it’s Redmi Note 8 series of mobile phones. The first to be unveiled was the standard version of Redmi Note 8 which comes at better hardware specs at an affordable price point.
The Redmi Note 8 features a 6.3-inch 1080p drop notch screen with a 90% screen to body ratio and the chin at the bottom stamped with Redmi logo.

On the rear side, Redmi Note 8 uses a fingerprint scanner, which reduces the fingerprint area by 30% compared to the previous generation, but the speed remains the same. It is worth noting that the Redmi Note 8 comes with fifth-generation of gorilla glass protection on front as well as rear panel.
The Redmi Note 8 is powered by the Snapdragon 665 mobile platform, which has better AI performance and lower power consumption than the Snapdragon 660.
For the camera, the Redmi Note 8 comes with a 48 megapixels primary sensor in a setup of four lens. The lenses are divided into ultra clear, super wide angle, depth of field and super macro for enhanced photography.
The secondary sensor with a resolution of 8 megapixels is connected to an ultra-wide-angle lens with a viewing angle of 120°, the third and fourth sensors have the same resolution of 2 megapixels – one is used for macro photography, the other for analyzing the depth in the scene.
For enhanced sound, Redmi Note 8 uses the high-powered earpiece for the first time. With this addition the loudness is increased by 40% compared to previous Note 7 Series and the bottom speaker also adds more BASS to the sound increasing the external frequency by 60%.
In addition, the Redmi Note 8 also features a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C port and infrared sensor. The Redmi Note 8 comes standard with an 18W fast charge and comes with a 4000mAh battery.

The Redmi Note 8 is available in two versions of RAM and internal storage.
The base version with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage is priced at NRs 18,999. While the 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage will cost NRs 23,999.
