Redmi A1 debuted in Indian market back in September and is now making it’s way into the Nepali market soon. The new low-cost Xiaomi sub-brand model has an octa-core MediaTek Helio A22 SoC and a display with a water-drop notch design.
Powered by a 5,000mAh battery, the Redmi A1 also features a dual 8-megapixel camera arrangement on the back.
The phone provides a streamlined Android experience and is compatible with over 20 different regional languages.
Redmi A1 Specifications
The Redmi A1 is a dual-SIM (Nano) smartphone powered by Android 12 and has a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a notch that resembles a waterdrop. It supports dual SIM VoLTE HD calling and VoWiFi.
The phone has 2GB of RAM and is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio A22 system-on-a-chip coupled with PowerVR GE8320 graphics chipset. The device comes in two memory configuration with 2GB and 3GB of RAM.
The main camera on the Redmi A1 is 8 megapixels in resolution, and it is part of a dual camera setup at the back with additional 0.08 MP QVGA camera that is assisted by artificial intelligence. The front-facing camera is a 5 megapixel sensor, making it ideal for taking selfies and video chatting.
The Redmi A1 has 32 GB of internal storage and a slot for a microSD card, which allows for extension to a maximum of 512 GB. Further, the Redmi A1 supports more than 20 Indian languages.
For connectivity, the device features 4G network support, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BDS and microUSB 2.0. The device also comes with FM radio.
The Redmi A1 features a 5,000mAh battery, and Xiaomi has included a 10W charger with it.
Redmi A1 is available in three color option of Light Green, Light Blue and Black.

The Redmi A1 smartphone has now been launched in the domestic market.
