Three Devices, Two Sizes
Huawei’s flagship devices comes in three flavors this year. They share much of the design and many of the features, but are divided into two groups: the basic Huawei P40 and the premium Huawei P40/ Huawei P40 Pro +, quite similar to each other. One of the most obvious differences between these two groups is in the diagonal of its screen and size: 6.1 inches for the Huawei P40 and 6.58 inches for the P40 Pro and Pro +.
The difference is not only in the size, but also in the type of screen. The Huawei P40 has a flat screen , while the Huawei P40 Pro and Huawei P40 Pro + bet on curves with a screen named Overflow display , which reduces the bezels to a minimum.
In all three cases it is a Full HD + OLED screen with dual punch hole for the front camera and with the integrated fingerprint reader. The most obvious difference is in the screen refresh rate: standard 60 Hz on the Huawei P40 and 90 Hz on the Huawei P40 Pro and P40 Pro + .
Three, four and five cameras
All three models of the P40 series comes with different configurations for the rear camera , although you have to pay attention to see the differences with the naked eye, because in all cases the camera module looks almost the same i.e., a rectangular module aligned to the left corner of the rear panel.
The P40 comes with a triple setup with main 50 MP Ultra Vision sensor 1/1.28 inch with RYYB colour filter array and Octa PD focus, 16 MP Ultra Wide angle lens and 8MP Telephoto lens featuring 3X Optical Zoom, 5X Hybrid Zoom and 30X Max Zoom.

Similarly, the P40 Pro+ features five cameras on the rear with main 50 MP Ultra Vision 1/1.28 inch Ultra Vision Sensor, RYYB colour filter array Octa PD Autofocus. The other two sensor is of complex type featuring a 100x SuperZoom Array with 10x Optical Telephoto Camera (8 MP, 240 mm), 3x Optical Telephoto Camera (8 MP, 80 mm) and supports 20x Hybrid Zoom and 100x Max Zoom.
