HTC Unveils U24 Pro in Taiwan, Boasting Powerful Cameras and Upgraded Performance

HTC has taken the wraps off its latest flagship smartphone, the U24 Pro, in its home market of Taiwan. The U24 Pro succeeds the U23 Pro as the company’s premium offering, packing a punch with a powerful camera system, a capable processor, and a long-lasting battery.

The centerpiece of the U24 Pro is undoubtedly its camera system. It features a triple rear camera setup headlined by a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) and electronic image stabilization (EIS) for sharp and steady photos and videos. Joining the main sensor is an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera for capturing expansive landscapes and group shots, and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom for bringing distant subjects closer. On the front, a high-resolution 50-megapixel selfie camera caters to the needs of selfie enthusiasts and video callers.

Under the hood, the U24 Pro is powered by the latest Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset from Qualcomm, paired with a generous 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM for smooth multitasking and demanding applications. Storage options range from 256GB to 512GB, expandable further via a microSD card slot, ensuring ample space for photos, videos, and apps.

The U24 Pro boasts a vibrant 6.8-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,436 pixels) OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate for a silky-smooth viewing experience. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass, offering peace of mind against accidental scratches and drops.

Another highlight of the U24 Pro is its long-lasting 4,600mAh battery. This, coupled with support for 60W fast wired charging, ensures users won’t be tethered to a charger for long. The phone also supports 15W wireless charging and 5W reverse wireless charging, allowing users to conveniently power up compatible devices on the go.

Connectivity options on the U24 Pro are comprehensive, including Wi-Fi 6E for blazing-fast internet speeds, Bluetooth 5.3 for seamless pairing with wireless accessories, and NFC for contactless payments. The phone also boasts an IP67 rating, making it resistant to dust and water ingress.

The HTC U24 Pro launches in Taiwan in Space Blue and Twilight White color options. While currently available for purchase in its home market, HTC has yet to announce its availability in other regions. The base 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant starts at TWD 18,990 (Indian Rs. 50,000), with the 512GB storage option priced slightly higher at TWD 20,990 (Indian Rs. 54,000).
