Yamaha Nepal has launched the Yamaha YZF-R15 v3.0 now with the updated version that comes with dual channel ABS. The motorcycle mechanically remains the same as the old version except the addition of dual channel ABS feature which comes with added weights.
The previously launched version of Yamaha YZF-R15 v3.0 came without the ABS feature which is now compulsory for vehicles manufactured in India as per the government rules.
The updated motorcycle now comes with a dual-channel ABS, which means precise braking even when the bike is speeding up, without any wheel lock-ups. This ensures a confident inspiring ride and let the rider enjoy the ride to the fullest.
Hence, the updated version of Yamaha YZF-R15 v3.0 now comes with mandatory safety features and is still available at Racing Blue or Thunder Grey colours as well as an all-new Darknight colour option.
Price-wise the new updated version now costs around Rs.30,000 more than the previous version.Apart from a small ABS logo on the fairing, the motorcycle looks pretty much the same as the non-ABS variant.
The dual-channel ABS module has resulted in a weight gain of 3kg, and the bike now weighs 142kg (wet).
At present, the R15-R15 v3.0 is the only bike with a dual-channel ABS In the 150cc class. The powertrain and the mechanical underpinnings remain the same as before.
The bike is powered by a 155cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) technology. The engine puts out 19.3PS at 10,000rpm and 15Nm at 8500rpm and is paired to a 6-speed transmission with assist and slipper clutch.
Suspension bits include telescopic front forks and a rear link-type monoshock. The dual-channel ABS acts on the same 282mm front and 220mm rear disc brakes.

Yamaha YZF-R15 v3.0 Price in Nepal
The Yamaha YZF-R15 v3.0 with ABS is priced at Rs 4,77,900 and comes with a dual-channel ABS as standard.
The previously launched version that came without the ABS safety feature is now priced at NRs. 4,31,900.
The BS6 version of the Yamaha YZF-R15 v3.0 now costs Rs 5,14,900 in Nepali market.
