Tata Nexon EV launched in Nepal, will offer certified range of 312km

SUVs and electric cars, both of these have become cornerstones to success for most of the car makers around the world. And Tata Motors is stepping on both these stones with the Nexon EV. Now its precariously poised to either win or lose but with the Nexon EV it’s saying that the company is here to stay in the EV business.

The Nexon EV is not the first electric car from the company but with the essential facelift on top of the original Nexon, the company plans in redefining the evolution of EVs.

It is an aspirational SUV for personal car buyers looking for a thrilling, connected drive experience with zero emissions. Powered by the cutting-edge Ziptron technology, this vehicle promises zippy performance, an ARAI certified anxiety-free range of 250 km to 312 km on a single charge, an efficient high voltage system, fast charging capability, extended battery life and class leading safety features.

The Nexon EV will be available in three trim levels and will be available in three exciting colour options – Signature Teal Blue color, Moonlit Silver and Glacier White.

The new Nexon EV gets the automobile company’s Ziptron powertrain technology. The electric SUV is equipped with a 3-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor paired with an IP67-certified 30.2 kWh lithium-ion battery. The motor, which has an eight-year/1.6 lakh km warranty, generates an impressive 129 PS and 245 Nm of torque and comes mated to an automatic transmission. You can take a spin of the new Tata Nexon EV in either Drive mode or Sport mode.

The IP67-certified 30.2 kWh lithium-ion battery can be charged up to 80 per cent from 0 per cent using a fast charger (CCS 2) in 60 minutes and up to 100 per cent from 20 per cent using a regular charger (any 15 amp plug point) in eight hours. The new electric Nexon boasts of a range of 312 km that has been certified by ARAI. The standard vehicle warranty is three years or 1.25 lakh km, with the automobile company offering a five-year extended warranty.

Tata Nexon EV Specifications

In terms of features, the Tata Nexon EV comes with automatic headlamps, fog lamps with cornering ability, 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, contrast dual-tone roof colour, automatic rain-sensing wipers and sunroof. The cabin gets features like keyless entry, push-button start, leather-wrapped steering wheel, wearable key, premium leatherette seats, electric tailgate, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment, fully automatic climate control and connected car app with 35 features.

The new Tata Nexon EV complies with the latest full-frontal, side-impact and offset impact crash regulations. It new electric SUV gets safety features like dual airbags, ABS with EBD and cornering stability control, ISOFIX anchorage for child seats and camera-based reverse park assist.

The second electric vehicle of the automobile manufacturer after Tata Tigor EV, the new Tata Nexon EV will rival the likes of Hyundai Kona EV and the recently-launched MG ZS EV.

TATA Nexon EV Price in Nepal 2023

Sipradi Trading, the authorized dealer of Tata Motors vehicles in Nepal has finally launched the Nexon EV in Nepali market after a long wait. The Nexon EV was launched in India last year in January 2020.
