Oppo Reno 4 Pro launched with Snapdragon 765G, 48 MP Triple camera and 65W fast charging

The Oppo Reno series was first introduced in April last year and the company has already released 16 models from this lineup excluding the latest fourth iteration – Reno 4 series.

OPPO’s most iconic range of mobiles has just received a refresh in China with two new smartphones, where design and photographic capabilities prevail : the OPPO Reno4 and OPPO Reno 4 Pro are now official.

It comes in an attractive design with quality hardware specs and has everything you need for a pleasant experience.

Oppo Reno 4 Pro : Specs and Features

Oppo earlier launched the Reno 3 series with Mediatek processors, and now the company has switched to a more premium line of Snapdragon 765G on both the Reno 4 and Reno 4 Pro.

Snapdragon 765G chipsets are very popular recently amongst higher mid-range smartphones because it’s performance is almost comparable to the flagship Snapdragon 865.

So, the Oppo Reno 4 comes powered by a octa-core Snapdragon 5G SoC manufactured using 7nm process with a maximum frequency of 2.4 GHz and Adreno 620 for graphics.

The device features a 6.5 inch AMOLED display with a FHD+ OLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate, 93.4% screen to body ratio and a resolution of 2400X1080 pixels. The display has a pixel density of 402PPI and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Furthermore, the screen features curved glass and a single hole-punch camera cutout for selfies.

The Reno 4 Pro comes in two configuration of RAM and internal storage space with 8GB or 12 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB of UFS 2.1 internal storage space which cannot be further expanded via micro-SD cards.

In the camera department, the device comes with triple camera setup on the rear with a 48 Megapixel IMX 586 as a primary shooter with optical image stabilisation (OIS). Other camera sensors include a 13-megapixel telephoto module and a 12-megapixel IMX 708 ultra-wide snapper perfect for night-scene video recording. The telephoto camera supports 5x optical zoom and 20x hybrid zoom. The hole-punch camera cutout houses a 32-megapixel selfie shooter.

OPPO Reno4 Pro focuses on night-scene video shooting. The new moonlight night scene video algorithm greatly improves the video performance in dark and bright environments, making the screen brighter and richer in color. The Live HDR function can effectively improve the tolerance when shooting video against back-light. Furthermore, the Reno series has consistently adhered to the super video anti-shake, and now it has also been upgraded to version 3.0. In addition to the rear main shooter and super wide-angle shooter, the front lens also now incorporates an anti-shake algorithm, which can easily record stable selfie videos.

Design has always been the highlight of OPPO phones. The back of Reno4 Pro adopts the new Reno Glow crystal drilling process. Through more than one million micron-level prism crystal pits and AF anti-fingerprint film, it achieves a starry visual effect and a zero-fingerprint skin-friendly feel.

The device runs Android-based ColorOS 7.2 out-of-the-box. It’s a minor refinement over the original ColorOS 7 update. The OS now includes Oppo Lab to let users test out upcoming features.

Reno4 Pro features a 4,000mAh battery with super-fast 65W SuperVOOC charging support out-of-the-box . The device can be fully charged in around 35 minutes via the USB Type-C port.

The device measures at 159.6 X 72.5 X 7.6 mm and weighs 172 g.

The device is available in five color options – Crystal Diamond Blue, Crystal Diamond Red, Dream Mirror Black, Titanium Blanks and Midsummer Fluorescence. A separate Green Glitter designed by the Pantone team will be available a little bit later from June 18th.

Oppo Reno 4 Pro Price in Nepal

The OPPO Reno4 Pro comes in two configurations : 8GB RAM with 128GB storage which costs 3799 yuan (US$ 532 ) and the 12GB RAM with 256GB storage version costs 4299 yuan (US$ 606). Both of these are available for order and will go on sale in China from June 12th.
