OPPO continues to launch new smartphones to reinforce its position in the mid-range and entry-level segments, and its latest bet is the OPPO A12, which was presented today in Nepal. This is a budget smartphone , which comes at a quite low price.
As you would expect, you get what you pay for. The Oppo A12 does not have the most appealing specifications, but it seems that the it will have face great difficulties in competing with Xiaomi’s and Realme offers head on. Despite the recent confirmation that the brand will bet on its expansion to newer markets, there is still no information on a possible global launch of the OPPO A12.

The new phone from the Chinese manufacturer has a 6.22-inch screen protected with Gorilla Glass 3 and HD + resolution, with 1520 x 720 pixels. In addition, the display has a drop-shaped notch to accommodate the 5 MP front selfie camera.
At the rear, the handset has a dual camera setup of 13 MP primary shooter and a 2 MP secondary shooter, which helps to capture images with depth of field. The main cameras come with a Flash LED and, below, it also has a physical fingerprint reader.
Helio P35 and powerful battery
Inside, the Oppo A12 sports a Helio P35 processor, a Mediatek entry model that has octa-cores. The device comes with 3 or 4 GB of RAM and a generous battery of 4,230 mAh.
The smartphone also has two storage variants, with 32 GB or 64 GB of internal storage, an amount that can be expanded via microSD card. In terms of software, the A12 arrives with now outdated Android 9.0 Pie equipped with Color OS 6.1.2 UI on top.
