Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro officially announced with support for wireless charging
Huawei announced today, September 10, during the Huawei Developer Conference event, its new smartwatch, the Huawei Watch GT2 Pro. The wearable has been the subject of several rumors over the past few weeks and many of them have been sure to predict some features of the watch.
Starting with the build quality, it will feature a silicone strap and its structure is made of titanium. It features a 1.39-inch AMOLED display and has a diameter of 46.7 x 46.7 x 11.4mm, with 52 grams.
Regarding the features, as suggested some leaks we saw a few days ago, it will have support for wireless charging and will be the first watch in the Watch GT line to rely on this technology.
With a sporty look, Huawei’s smartwatch comes with support for monitoring more than 100 modes for physical exercise which includes – extreme sports, leisure activities, water sports, ball games and snow sports. In addition, the watch has a technology to automatically detect the type of exercise that the user engages in.
Among the measurement options present in it, the SpO2 sensor stands out to measure the level of oxygen saturation in the blood, and the way to verify the user’s stress levels. Its cardiac monitoring sensor includes Huawei’s own TruSeen 4.0+ technology which, in conjunction with a 6-in-1 sapphire sensor present on its rear helps better monitor the data of the user.
Another highlight of this smartwatch is the battery, which, according to the company, can last up to two weeks of use, depending on the modes that are activated on the device. Finally, as is already standard in other Chinese watches, it has water resistance of up to 5 ATM. It also has a built-in microphone and speaker, which allows you to answer calls directly through the watch.
Huawei Watch GT2 Pro is compatible with any Android phone from version 4.4 and any iPhone since iOS 9.0 and arrives in the Sport editions in Night Black and Classic in Nebula Grey.
The detailed specsheet shows the device is further equipped with 4 GB storage, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS and 455 mAh battery, capacity sufficient for 14 days of use, according to the manufacturer, and support for wireless recharge (Qi). Regarding the operating system, the watch brings Huawei’s LiteOS.

The Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro will hit stores this month with a sports strap for EUR 329 euros(Rs 45,650) and leather for EUR 349(Rs 48,400).
