Huawei today made an official announcement of the long-awaited and inexpensive flagships of Huawei – Nova 7 5G and Nova 7 Pro 5G smartphones . The Chinese smartphone manufacturer also launched a cheaper Nova 7 SE 5G for the ones on a tighter budget.
Huawei Nova 7, Nova 7 Pro and Nova 7 SE are very similar to each other, and the key differences are in the hardware platform, cameras, displays and, oddly enough, in the type and location of the fingerprint scanner.

The basic model Nova 7 features a 6.53-inch 20:9 ratio OLED screen with a resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels, a 32 megapixel single punch-hole selfie camera located at the upper left corner and with a dimensions of 160.64 × 74.33 × 7.96 mm and weighs 180 g.
Whereas, the premium model Nova 7 Pro sports a 6.77 inch 19.5: 9 aspect ratio OLED display with a resolution of 2340 × 1080 pixels, a dual setup selfie camera of 32 megapixel and 8 megapixel camera located at the upper left corner and has a dimensions of 160.36 x 73.74 x 7.98 mm and weighs 178 g. The display is also certified by TUV Rheinland.
PROCESSOR
Huawei Nova 7 and Huawei Nova 7 Pro come equipped with the Kirin 985 chipset which supports fifth generation network and is paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB and 256GB internal storage options . Both devices also feature an in-display fingerprint reader.
CAMERAS
Similarly, both the Nova 7 and Nova 7 Pro rear main camera sports a quad setup with sensors of 64 megapixels of 1 / 1.8 aperture + 8 megapixels (super wide-angle, 120 degrees, f / 2.4 aperture) + 8 megapixels (telephoto lens, 10x hybrid and 50x zoom f / 3.4 aperture) + 2 megapixels (macro shooting f / 2.4 aperture) . The telephoto lens on the basic Nova 7 model misses out the zoom feature hence the periscope module is replaced by a conventional 8MP telephoto shooter which only does 3X optical and 5X hybrid zoom.

It supports dual-structure OIS optical image stabilization and AIS telephoto super image stabilization.
CONNECTIVITY
Both phones supports 2G / 3G / 4G / 5G network standards and NSA / SA 5G dual-modes. The theoretical maximum downlink rate is 1277Mbps and the uplink rate is 173Mbps. Additionally, the devices support Wifi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC , GPS and USB-C.
BATTERY
These devices are equipped with a generous 4000mAh battery. The phone supports 40W super-fast charging and can fully charge the battery in an hour.
OPERATING SYSTEM
The dual-SIM (nano) Nova 7 and Nova 7 Pro runs on the latest Android 10 operating system with EMUI 10.1 user interface on top. As usual, Google services is absent in these devices .
