Honor recently held a massive launch event, where it unveiled the Magic Vs, its new flagship foldable smartphone, and the Honor 80 series, a new line of high-end smartphones.
The Honor 80 Pro is the premium flagship model of the 80 Series. The device boasts Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC along with 6.78 inch OLED display with 120 Hz refresh rate, 160 MP primary camera on the rear, dual pill-shaped selfie camera with 50 MP and 4800 mAh battery with 66W of fast charging support.
Let’s check out the latest Honor 80 Pro version in more detail.
Honor 80 Pro Specifications
When compared to other models in the 80 series, the 80 Pro premium model stands out as the pinnacle due to its cutting-edge features and capabilities.
The smartphone’s 6.78-inch curved OLED display features a resolution of 1.5K (1,224×2,700 pixels), a refresh rate of 120Hz, and a maximum brightness of 1,000 nits.
The screen’s 1920MHz PWM frequency make it a top-tier option.
The Chinese manufacturer uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. Intriguingly, this Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC is a low-frequency variant of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC used in other high-end smartphones.
Optically, it features a triple-camera array in the back, with the primary camera packing 160 megapixels. There is also a 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide/macro lens.
In addition to its triple rear cameras, the Honor 80 Pro has a 50-megapixel selfie shooter and a 2-megapixel depth sensor housed in a pill-shaped cutout on the front.
Both camera rigs have electronic image stabilization (EIS), allowing for the production of smooth, blur-free 4K video.
The device runs on newest Android 12 OS based MagicOS 7.0 out of the box and is powered by a large 4,800mAh battery pack with support for 66W rapid charging.
It’s a 5G smartphone with two Nano SIM card slots, Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz), NFC, and Bluetooth v5.2. The fingerprint reader on this Honor smartphone is hidden beneath the screen.
At approximately 188 grams in weight, the Honor 80 Pro is only 7.8 millimeters in thickness.
