At the IFA 2019 exhibition in Berlin, HMD Global presented not only a pair of mid-range smartphones Nokia 7.2 and Nokia 6.2 . It also presented Nokia’s first shockproof rugged phone.

The model is called Nokia 800 Tough. According to the manufacturer, the phone is designed for work and leisure in extreme conditions – it is protected from water and dust, as well as falls.

At the same time, it provides modern functions as the voice assistant – Google Assistant, WhatsApp and Facebook, connection to 4G networks.

The phone comes with a 2.4-inch non-touch screen with a resolution of 240 × 320, a 2 megapixel camera, FM radio, a 198 lumens flashlight, Qualcomm 205 SoC, 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of flash memory, a 2100 mAh battery.

It is possible to use microSD cards up to 32 GB and two SIM-cards. 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi (802.11 b / g / n), Bluetooth 4.1 LE, GPS / AGPS and GLONASS are supported.

Water protection is implemented at IP68, and in terms of strength, the phone complies with the military standard MIL-STD-810G.

The Nokia 800 Tough runs on KaiOS and measures 145.4 x 62.1 x 16.11 mm and weighs 161 g.

Nokia 800 Tough will be available in October in black at an estimated retail price of $120.
